Rev. Joe Choate
Our friend and brother in Christ, Rev. Joe Choate, lost his battle with leukemia, but won his victory in Jesus! Surrounded by his family, Joe stepped over into Glory Land on Sunday, January 15, 2012. His wife Debbie said,
“Oh, if you could have seen his face ... something I will never forget! He saw his Savior Jesus Christ! No more pain and suffering! Hallelujah!!!!”
Joe is survived by his wife Debbie, son Jac, daughter Christa and her husband Chris, four grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
For more information on Joe’s fight with leukemia, please visit his Caring Bridge website.
A Celebration of Life Service took place on Thursday, January 19th with well over 700 people honoring Joe's life and service to our Church and community. After the service a procession to Sarasota National Cemetery took place to honor Joe's service in the United States Air Force.
The Choate family has asked that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Joe's home church, First Baptist Church of Palmetto.
