“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die — but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
1. What does this passage tell you about God’s love for you?
2. What sacrifice have you made to love someone else?
3. Have you trusted that Christ’s death has paid the debt for your sins?
If you have never trusted that Christ’s death on the cross was sufficient to atone for your sin, please do so now. If you have questions about salvation call or email the church office and make an appointment with a pastor to talk about it.
If you have taken that step, take a moment to memorize verse 8: “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Thank God that He didn't wait for us to get our lives together before he started loving us. Thank God that he came and saved us even while we were yet sinners. Ask God to show you who it is in your life who needs to see the sacrificial love of God on display in you.
