Joe Choate, Associate Pastor of Preaching & Teaching, has been on staff at Palmetto First Baptist since August of 2000. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree and then the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in 2004. He is married to Deborah and have two adult children, Jac and Christa.

Allen Smith, Executive Pastor, joined the staff at Palmetto First Baptist in March of 1999. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Religious Education. He is married to Cheryl and they have two children, Kaylee and Trey.

Jeff Boyd, Associate Pastor of Youth & Families, has been on staff at Palmetto First Baptist since 2006. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas; a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.  He is married to Sheila and they have four sons, Colin, Jackson, Garrott & Grayson.

Keith Van Leuven, LMHC, Counselor, has been on staff at the North River Counseling Center since 1995. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Nova University with a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling. He is married to Katherine and they have two daughters, Kailey and Krystin.
