Opportunities:
SERVE Saturday – There are many opportunities to volunteer inside and outside our church walls. Three to four times a year we come together as a church family to serve our community as the hands and feet of Jesus. We volunteer our Saturday morning in areas inside and outside the buildings in our community to repair broken fences, clear overgrown shrubbery, pack food boxes, sew items for missions, write cards of encouragement, clean up areas around our church, pray for our neighbors, and so much more. There is something for every skill, talent and ability. For more information, visit the SERVE Saturday page of this website.
Baby Dedications – Are you interested in knowing more about dedicating your baby? Call or text 941-877-0620 and ask to speak to a pastor.
Baptism – If you feel called to take the next step in faith, you may be ready for baptism. Baptism is a public declaration that you are a new creation through your faith in Jesus Christ. For more information, call or text 941-877-0620 and ask to speak to a pastor about your baptism.
Martha Ministry – If you are looking for a ministry opportunity that you can accomplish from the comfort of your home, consider the prayer card ministry of FBC. The weekly time commitment is about a half hour to write notes to those we pray for as a church family each week. All materials will be provided. For more information, contact the church office at 941-722-7795.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors – SERVE Saturday is a quarterly FBC community outreach and we continually look for project suggestions. If you have a friend or neighbor who has a need – such as raking, trimming, painting, window cleaning, etc. – please email our committee chairman for consideration as a SERVE Saturday project. You can also call the church office at 941-722-7795.
