Missions

We are sharing Christ’s love with our community and beyond!

The heart of Missions at FBC Palmetto is to reach the lost by sharing Christ’s love with our community and beyond. We support local, national and international missions.

What is God calling you to do?

Serving is the heartbeat of our church. It is moving from the worship seat to our streets and community to show the love of Christ. Your talents and passions equip you for service and our desire is to help you find your fit.

C4C embarked on a mission trip November 10-13, 2021 at Camp Jackson in Allendale, SC. On this trip C4C partnered with Glen Baptist Church and worked on siding several buildings at the youth camp.

Carpenters for Christ at Beulah Baptist Church

Last year our team joined Carpenters for Christ on a mission trip to Beulah Baptist Church which was originally built in 1860. The volunteer team of carpenters constructed an 8,000 square foot addition to the church in one week. Here are a few videos of their trip:

Missions We Support

It is remarkable to realize that we are one of more than 40,000 churches who willingly provide support to the International Missions Board because of our love and commitment to missions. However, much more can be done to strengthen that support and the potential we have as Southern Baptists to reach a lost world. That is why every year we seek to better inform and more directly involve our church body of our missions effort through our annual missions conference. The mission statement of the International Mission Board states, “leading Southern Baptists to be on mission with God to bring all peoples of the world to saving faith in Jesus Christ.”
The North American Mission Board exists to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, start New Testament congregations, minister to persons in the name of Christ, and assist churches in the United States and Canada in effectively performing these functions.
The mission of the Florida Baptist Convention is to inspire and to equip – through word and deed – Florida Baptist churches and associations to accomplish the Great Commission. The Vision of the Florida Baptist Convention is to accomplish its mission by facilitating the discovery of needs and potential, provide customized resources, encourage the exchange of ideas for growth and effectiveness in mission and ministry tasks that are culturally relevant and linguistically sensitive which will result in evangelism/believer development, church starting, leadership development, strengthened existing churches and strengthened financial resources through multi-cultural development and inter-divisional cooperation.
