Weekend – Elusive Peace

By Phillip Hamm

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6

Anxiety disorder is the most diagnosed mental health issue around the world. It’s the fastest growing and most commonly identified mental illness in the U.S. affecting nearly 40 million Americans and growing.

No one wants to be anxious. It’s an overwhelming feeling that lurks behind every corner of your life waiting to pounce at the most vulnerable moments. From the outside it looks like we are powerless in its grip and always forced to succumb to its control. But does it have to be this way? Do we always have to be the victim of anxiety?

In preparation for Sunday worship read Philippians 4:6-7.

Prepare for Worship
As you prepare your heart for worship Sunday morning read Psalm 13.
